Description:
The VTCT Level 3 Certificate in Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology for Complementary Therapies (QCF) is a knowledge-based qualification which will provide you with a sound foundation to pursue a career as a complementary therapist.
This qualification will develop your knowledge and understanding of the organisation of
the body, and the structure, function and pathologies of the skin, hair and nails.
You will also learn about the structure, function and pathologies of the human body systems
including, the skeletal, muscular, nervous, endocrine, respiratory, cardiovascular, digestive,
urinary and reproductive system.

There are 2 qualification choices for you to choose from here to cater for all student requirements.

Option 2: VTCT Level 3 certificate in Anatomy, Physiology & Pathologies for Complementary Therapies (VRQ) Course
Pre-requisites (entry level):
There are no formal prerequisite qualifications that you must have prior to enrolling on this course.
Course format:
Home study course consisting of 12 learning outcomes emailed to you, includes training manual, VTCT assessment booklet (PDF) and workbook. There are 2 written exams to sit at the end of the course. Over 12 weeks you will be given course notes and a recorded video lesson on each of the body systems to help you to 'digest' the information.
Exam dates are scheduled in on completion of course. At time of booking, you will be given our available exam dates, so you can schedule in to suit you.
Exams are taken at our Bideford, Devon centre.
Course content:
12 learning outcomes –
1. Understand the organisation of the body
2. Understand the anatomy, physiology and pathologies of the skin, hair and nails
3. Understand the anatomy, physiology and pathologies of the skeletal system
4. Understand the anatomy, physiology and pathologies of the muscular system
5. Understand the anatomy, physiology and pathologies of the nervous system
6. Understand the anatomy, physiology and pathologies of the endocrine system
7. Understand the anatomy, physiology and pathologies of the respiratory system
8. Understand the anatomy, physiology and pathologies of the cardiovascular system
9. Understand the anatomy, physiology and pathologies of the lymphatic system
10. Understand the anatomy, physiology and pathologies of the digestive system
11. Understand the anatomy, physiology and pathologies of the urinary system
12. Understand the anatomy, physiology and pathologies of the reproductive system

Attendance:
You attend our assessment centre (Bideford, North Devon) to sit your exam paper at the end of the course.
Duration:
12 weeks, however you can take up to 12 months to complete the course, if you require longer.
Self-paced home study can be started at anytime (+ 2 written exams) and covers approx. Guided learning hours - 94
