Entry level:
You must hold a level 3 Sports massage qualification.
Description:
The Sports injury treatments accredited course is focused towards providing sports massage to prevent and manage injury.
Through this qualification you will develop the skills, knowledge and understanding needed
to apply sports massage methods competently to non-acute injury & pre-exisiting
conditions.
This will include a range of massage techniques additional to those acquired at Level 3, which
include: connective tissue, soft tissue release, corrective frictions, trigger points and muscle
energy techniques.
You will develop your subjective and objective assessment skills to include clinical reasoning
and the use of a wide range of special and functional muscle test.
Course format:
Theory & Practical attendance: 3 days
Coursework: Home study
Training material is accessed through our online portal

~ Conducting subjective and objective assessment
~ Provide sports massage techniques to prevent, manage injury & support soft tissue repair

Model Required?
Group training = No, students will work on each other.
One to one training = Yes, you will be required to bring a model along to the practical
training to practice your routine on.
Case studies = Yes, you will be required to work on models for your case studies.
Case studies:
You will need to provide 5 case studies of varying sporting injuries (5 people x 2 treatments)

Jason is a fully qualified holistic therapist, Sports Therapist and teacher. He has many therapies ‘under his belt’ and is very passionate about his work. He comes from a martial art background of 33 years and is the holder of 4 Black belts. And loves adventure and enjoying life. He recently had to give up Teaching martial arts through an Injury, and restarted his holistic Massage path from years ago, Like all our tutors he believes that all our students should have the best training available, and with his background of Martial arts he is dedicated in doing this.
