Welcome to the VTCT Level 3 Award in Education & Training course.
As part of this course, you are required to attend zoom training sessions, and an assessment (15 minute micro-teach).
The VTCT Level 3 Award in Education and Training (QCF) is a qualification for those interested in a teaching career in further education or for those who have recently started teaching.
This award is designed to equip a wide range of teachers/trainers and facilitators with the requisite skills and knowledge required to fulfil a teaching role. During this course you will learn about preparation, planning and basic course design. You will also learn teaching delivery skills and participate in a micro-teaching session.
Evaluation skills and techniques also form part of the course content.
This qualification provides a sound introduction to teaching/training and is suitable for both experienced practitioners who would like to secure a professionally recognised qualification as well as those new to teaching. The VTCT Level 3 Award in Education and Training will enable you to work in a teaching role and advance on to a broader teaching qualification.
VTCT Level 3 Award in Education & Training (QCF)
- There are no formal prerequisite qualifications that you must have prior to undertaking this qualification.
On completion of the course you will be awarded VTCT qualification.
Throughout some of the modules, you will come across this image, where it will ask you to complete a task.
This is part of your coursework and is a requirement to complete the course.
To complete this course, you must:
- Complete every module in this online platform
- Attend your zoom training sessions
- Complete all the assignments, this is your required coursework.
- Prepare and complete an hours micro-teach by yourself as part of your coursework. This can be done in your own treatment/training room or in your workplace, dependent on your work situation. This will be discussed during your zoom sessions
- Attend your microteach assessment (this is a 15 minute micro-teach) and is carried out at our VTCT approved centre in Bideford, Devon. This microteach will be recorded for sampling purposes by the exam board, The VTCT.
- Submit your E-portfolio of work for assessing and internal and external assessment.
All of the above will be explained in depth in subsequent modules & during your zoom training sessions.
