Description:
The VTCT (ITEC) Level 1 Award in Mental Health Awareness is a VRQ aimed at learners who wish to develop an understanding of a range of issues which may affect the mental health of people, how to identify common mental health conditions and offer support for people with mental health conditions.
The qualification includes one mandatory unit which includes:
~ Understanding what is meant by mental health
~ Awareness of the effects of mental health conditions
~ Supporting people with mental health conditions
Throughout this qualification, learners will develop their knowledge and understanding of mental health and wellbeing. Learners will develop knowledge of a range of mental health conditions, the factors affecting mental health and the impact of mental health from a global, individual and workplace perspective.
Learners will develop an understanding of what constitutes good mental health and mental ill-health and how to recognise the signs and symptoms of a number of mental health conditions. Learners will also develop an awareness of the types of support available for mental health conditions and how to access them.
AND,
The VTCT (ITEC) Level 2 Certificate in Mental Health Awareness is a VRQ aimed at learners who wish to develop an understanding of a range of issues which may affect the mental health of people, how to identify common mental health conditions and offer support for people with mental health conditions.
The purpose of the qualification is to provide learners with an understanding of mental health and mental ill-health. Learners will develop knowledge of a range of mental health conditions, the issues surrounding mental health and the legal frameworks that impact on the quality of care provided.
What does this qualification cover?
The qualification includes ten mandatory units which includes:
Understanding what is meant by mental health and mental ill-health
Understand the changes in mental health care
Raising awareness of a range of mental health conditions
Understanding the legal context of mental health
Understand the ways in which mental health conditions can be managed
Throughout this qualification, learners will develop their knowledge and understanding of a range of mental health conditions, their causes, signs and symptoms and ways in which these conditions will be managed. The qualification will also aim to raise awareness of the issues surrounding mental health and dispel some of the myths and misconceptions often linked to mental health.

zoom video for learning recap & external exam taken online via live video (Zoom) with our invigilator.

Start time:
The home study can be started at anytime, you must have completed all the online learning before you attend your & exam
You must complete the course bundle within 12 months of enrolment
Attendance:
No attendance is required, this course can be taught online with an online live video invigilated exam. The exam is recorded for auditing purposes of the VTCT exam board.
The zoom session includes learning recap and online exam (You must have completed all online learning before you attend the exam via live video)
Duration:
Self-paced home study can be started at anytime and covers
