Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is a form of psychotherapy which focuses on establishing the way in which a person thinks, behaves, perceives, acts and reacts. This establishment will then assist the client in dealing with their behavioural, emotional and social challenges to bring about positive changes in their lives. It focuses on presenting issues and how to provide a more positive, balanced and focused way of handling issues & fears. Subjects included in the Course: Balancing Statements, CBT techniques, worksheets, diary keeping, Distraction Methods, Behavioural & Physical Techniques, Assumptions and Beliefs

This course is carried out as a home study course and can be started at anytime.

Self-paced. There are 10 modules to study at home + case studies.
Training material is emailed to you.
10 Modules: CBT: What is CBT, History, Methods and techniques used in CBT (incl ABC method, goal setting, conditions and how CBT can help, Socratic method, SMART method), Conditions which benefit from CBT. Treatment suggestions: Treatment plans, Consultation sheets, Session worksheets and notes.

No attendance, this is a distant learning course.
This course is carried out as a home study course and can be started at anytime. This course is approx. 40 hours study (this does vary from student to student.)
Case studies = Yes, you will be required to work on models for your case studies.
You are required to complete 5 treatments as case studies.
