It focuses on presenting issues and how to provide a more positive, balanced and focused way of handling issues & fears. Subjects included in the Course: Balancing Statements, CBT techniques, worksheets, diary keeping, Distraction Methods, Behavioural & Physical Techniques, Assumptions and Beliefs, open questioning, Rapport, CBT for – Anxiety, Anger, Depression, Stress, Self Esteem, Addiction, Eating Disorders, client care, consultation, health & safety, hygiene, business practices.
This course is carried out as a home study course and can be started at anytime.

10 Modules: CBT: What is CBT, History, Methods and techniques used in CBT (incl ABC method, goal setting, conditions and how CBT can help, Socratic method, SMART method), Conditions which benefit from CBT. Treatment suggestions: Treatment plans, Consultation sheets, Session worksheets and notes.

- Listening skills for therapists online course
Training materials: This includes - course modules to read on line, an audio / video presentation just like being taught in a classroom, Printable notes/worksheets, and access to a comments section to ask questions to the tutor)
Live video assessment: If you opt for the live video assessment, you will have the opportunity, once you have studied the modules, to a video call with your tutor to discuss any questions and run through any consultation techniques. You will then schedule your live video assessment, to complete your course.

A date is booked with your assessor for your assessment.
