Description:

The VTCT Level 3 Certificate in Stone Therapy Massage is a qualification that has been specifically designed to develop your practical skills in; how to provide the relaxing and stress relieving treatment of massage using hot and cold stones. Underpinning this qualification you will develop a sound knowledge of health and safety, client care and communication. You will also develop a knowledge and understanding of the practical skills learned throughout this qualification, such as anatomy and physiology. The purpose of this qualification is to develop your skills in providing stone therapy massage treatments to a high level of occupational ability, to enable you to provide your own services for clients.

Pre-requisites (entry level):

1. A massage qualification

AND,

2. You are required to undertake the following qualification (this can be studied alongside this course, but must be completed prior to practical assessments) - Infection Prevention (Covid-19) for Beauty Therapy and Nail Services VTCT Level 2

Course format:

4 practical training/assessments + home study + portfolio coursework + case studies + written exams. Training material is accessed via our online portal.

Course content:

Unit UV30491 – Monitor & maintain health & safety practice in the salon

Unit UV30468 – Client care and communication I beauty-related industries

Unit UV30475 – Apply stone therapy massage

Start time:

The home study can be started at anytime, but please ask for course dates practical training element.

Self-paced home study can be started at anytime and covers

GLH (Guided Learning Hours): 132. (GLH incl’s. practical, coursework, case studies,

assessments, written exams)

Model Required?:

Group training = No, students will work on each other.

One to one training = Yes, you will be required to bring a model along to the practical

training to practice your routine on.

Case studies = Yes, you will be required to work on models for your case studies.

Case studies:

You are required to complete enough treatments to cover the range requirements.
